![]() I'll need to see if any new movies post-COVID-19 will be screened in 3D but I'm not counting on it to be honest. Basically you need to be in that cinema within a week to ensure you can see it in 3D otherwise you will miss out. Even films like Infinity War, Endgame, Aquaman and Alita you needed to hunt a cinema down that would screen it for maybe 1-2 weeks tops in limited sessions. IMAX in Melbourne did Frozen II in 3D but that was literally the only place to see it before the Blu-Ray 3D was released. On one hand I really enjoy the 3D experience on my projector. ![]() I'm sort of stuck when it comes to 3D blu-rays. So could someone get me up to speed on the state of 3D?įor various reasons I haven't been able to get out to the movie theaters for years: are many movie theaters still showing films in 3D? Or has that business dropped precipitously?įor home release of 3D Blu-Ray, I infer from this thread that it's rarely produced any more? And always in 1080p. I got heavily back in to 2 channel audio over the last few years and have paid much less attention to Blu-Ray releases and other home theater related stuff. I have a great 3D capable projector (JVC RS600) and really like watching 3D movies. Actually I have a question for the 3D enthusiasts:
